What:
I'll make 20 fleece blankets over the next 6 months for kids at Johns Hopkins Children's Center. My sister was a PICU nurse for many years and always said they needed blanket donations, so I'm going to make time to create blanket that hopefully offer physical and emotional comfort for kids and families facing a tough time.
Why:
I've always been interested in helping a children's hospital in some way but, as a total coward when it comes to almost anything medical, blankets (which I've never attempted to make before!) seem like a good compromise!
