What:
We have a local thrift store whose earnings go directly to the local children's home. I have donated to and shopped at this thrift store my whole life and every time I go, I think about the kids that this store helps. I always wish I could help them even more or do something to put a smile on their faces. I would like to throw them a big pizza party or collect needed school supplies and toiletries for them.
Why:
I love children and have always liked to help out when I can. Getting a monetary donation to help me volunteer takes away the excuse that I may not have the money for it. I have been a stay at home mom for the last five years to my almost 3 and 5 year old. I am starting a job next week as a 3 day a week preschool teacher. I just love helping others - especially kids who haven't had what my kids have had.
